Student Finance 

Having a clear understanding of student finance is essential for planning your studies.
In the UK, eligible students can access various forms of financial support, including loans, grants, and additional funding tailored to individual needs. These options are intended to ease financial pressures and support you throughout your academic journey.

Types of Financial Support

Tuition Fee Loan

This funding is paid directly to your university to take care of your tuition fees.

Maintenance Loan

This loan is sent directly to you to help cover your living costs while you study.

Parent Learning Allowance

This grant is available for parents and is paid directly to you.

Adult Dependant Grant

This grant is available if you have an adult who relies on you financially, and it is paid straight to you.

Special Support Grant

Single parents, students claiming PIP, and others who meet the criteria can receive this grant, which is paid directly to you.

Childcare Grant

This grant pays up to 85% of your childcare costs directly to the nursery or childcare provider.

Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA)

Available for students with disabilities, DSA helps towards special equipment and travel costs while studying.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for student finance, you must meet the following requirements

  • You need to have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.

  • You must be a British citizen, an EU citizen, or have Indefinite Leave to Remain or refugee status in the UK.
