BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance

Course Overview

This program is fully accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the world’s largest global professional accountancy body. The curriculum is strategically aligned with the first two stages of the ACCA qualification to maximize your professional standing upon graduation. By successfully passing the required modules, you can become eligible for up to nine ACCA exemptions, potentially allowing you to reach fully qualified status within just two years of completing your degree.

In addition to ACCA alignment, the program meets the rigorous standards of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). This ensures you are well-equipped to progress along the management accounting pathway, with graduates often eligible for further exemptions assessed directly by CIMA. Furthermore, the degree serves as a recognized entry criterion for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, granting you the immediate eligibility to apply for this prestigious global designation upon graduation.

To bridge the gap between theory and industry practice, we have partnered with Moody’s to provide you with direct access to a wealth of real-time financial data. By utilizing this data alongside advanced statistical software, you will have the opportunity to make evidence-based financial decisions in a live market context. This ensures that you graduate not only with academic honors but with the technical fluency and professional recognition required to excel in the modern financial landscape.

Entry Requirements

To join our BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree, all applicants must meet our standard entry requirements to ensure they are prepared for the quantitative nature of the course. We typically look for a minimum of a GCSE Grade C in Mathematics (or equivalent), alongside two GCE A-Level subjects and three additional GCSE passes at Grade C or above. We also highly value professional backgrounds and warmly welcome applications from candidates who hold recognized Accounting or Finance professional qualifications or can demonstrate substantial relevant work experience in the industry.

We are committed to providing accessible pathways into the profession, which is why we offer an integrated Foundation Year for those who do not currently hold these specific academic qualifications. This additional year is specifically designed to provide extra support and build your core knowledge, ensuring you have a solid academic base before progressing to the full degree.
