BA (Hons) Global Business and Entrepreneurship

Course Overview

In your first undergraduate year, you will begin to build core knowledge of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and business strategy. You will learn how to identify and evaluate opportunities, create value, and understand the internal dynamics of entrepreneurial organisations. Specialist modules such as project management and change leadership will equip you with the practical tools needed for navigating and managing innovation and risk in today’s fast-moving business environments.

As you progress, you will continue to deepen your skills by working directly on real-world business challenges. The curriculum explores advanced topics including intrapreneurship, digital marketing, and venture finance. A key highlight of this stage is developing a comprehensive business plan and pitching it to a panel of experts, sharpening your professional presentation skills. You will also learn how social entrepreneurship can address complex societal challenges, effectively blending innovation with social impact while fostering a balance of collaboration and independent thinking.

In your final year, the focus shifts toward strategic mastery and independent inquiry through dedicated modules in Research Methods, Global Strategies, and Applied Research Methods (20 credits each). This culminates in a substantial Entrepreneurship Project (40 credits), which allows you to apply your accumulated knowledge to a major piece of original work. This final stage is designed to demonstrate your critical thinking and technical ability, proving you are ready to lead and innovate in the global business arena.

Assesment

The BA (Hons) Global Business (Business Management) utilizes an authentic assessment strategy designed to immerse you in realistic, real-world scenarios. This approach provides a clear formative pathway, allowing you to test your knowledge and receive detailed feedback before final grades are set. A unique feature of this program is that the majority of modules allow you to apply your own business ideas to your assignments, giving you the time and professional guidance needed to reflect on and develop your proposals further. By focusing on practical application rather than just theory, the course ensures you can demonstrate the full range of knowledge, skills, and competencies that are essential in today’s competitive business environment.

To accurately measure your progress, the course employs a diverse mix of assessment methods, including traditional essays and reports alongside active tasks like real-life simulations, professional presentations, major projects, and group debates. Because these assignments mirror the complexities of the workplace, self-study is a vital component of your success. You will be expected to dedicate time outside of your scheduled classes to conduct independent research, complete homework tasks, and collaborate on group work. Throughout your studies, your lecturers will provide consistent guidance on how to manage this independent learning effectively.

To maintain the highest educational quality, all assessment methods at Learn Quest Education are reviewed annually. These updates are made in response to student feedback, evolving course content, or recommendations from an External Examiner. As independent academic experts from other higher education institutions, External Examiners serve as a crucial safeguard, ensuring that the academic standards of your degree remain rigorous, fair, and nationally recognized.

Entry Requirements

To join this Learn Quest Education programme, all applicants must be at least 18 years old and meet our academic or professional entry criteria. Standard applicants under the age of 21 are typically expected to hold a Level 3 qualification, such as 80 UCAS tariff points or a 60-credit Ofqual qualification, alongside an English qualification at GCSE Grade 4/C or CEFR B1. If you do not currently hold these specific English credentials, we provide the opportunity to complete an internal English language test at a Learn Quest Education campus to ensure you are ready for degree-level study.

We also offer a flexible "Non-Standard" entry route for mature students aged 21 and over who may not possess traditional qualifications. If you can demonstrate relevant life or work skills that show your suitability for undergraduate study, we encourage you to apply for the Foundation programme. Regardless of your entry route, our admissions team evaluates all candidates through a personal interview to assess listening and speaking skills, as well as a supervised personal reflection statement to determine writing proficiency. This holistic approach ensures that every student has the motivation and communication skills necessary to succeed in a professional business environment.

The application process is designed to be clear and supportive, beginning with the ‘Apply Now’ button on this page. Once you have submitted your application form and provided your supporting documents when requested, you will be invited to a panel interview and a written assessment session. Following these steps, the Learn Quest Education admissions team will review your full profile, including your interview performance and personal reflection, before making a final decision on your application.
